RESTING IN THE FAITHFUL GOD

SERMON DESCRIPTION

This sermon explores the warning of Hosea that God’s people often chase “the wind” by placing their trust in false saviors, worldly alliances, and empty pursuits instead of resting in God’s covenant love. When we abandon the Lord, our efforts produce only a whirlwind—activity without substance and fruit that does not last. Yet even in our wandering, God’s steadfast love continues to pursue us. Ultimately, Christ is the faithful Son who did not run but trusted the Father completely, making a way for us to return. The call of the gospel is simple and hopeful: stop chasing the wind, come home to God’s faithful love, and find true peace and lasting life in Him.
