QUESTIONS FROM MARK: ARE YOU WILLING?
SERMON DESCRIPTION
St. Augustine wrote, “Faith is to believe what we don’t see and the reward of this faith is to see what we believe.”
The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Sounds simple enough. Sometimes we do well, walking by faith; that is until trouble comes our way and that’s when we struggle. In today’s Gospel reading we meet a leper who approaches Jesus for healing. He asks Jesus a question and Jesus answers him by healing him. As wonderful as this miracle was, the real point of the story is eternally greater than a healing. Come this Sunday for the real point of the story. And if you are willing, you will discover that this is an unending story.
